Pushbutton devlces strategically slluatedthroughout the premises
and connected to theAbacus panel Which signal a 'Duress' alann
whenpressed.
The panic buttons are always armed and WIll therefore operate
regardless of whether thepanel Is set or unset.
Pressing a panicbutton WIll create either a full alann condition (
Extemal and Inlernal sounders) or, Wconnected to' an alarm
company's central statton, a 'silent' alann, depending on the
programming canted oll! by the engineer. Oncepressed !he panic

'System' and 'Area " areas. TheseAREAS can be SET, which
means activated or arrr>ed. ether Individually or collectively, lis .
thereforeposslble, for example, 10 havethe garage prol"!1ed,while
the rest of your home Is slll occupied.
USERLEVEL
Therecan bevaoous classesof user, each wah a greateror lesser
access and control over the pre-<tetined Areas ot' ov...all system.
For example. the User category caledAmal will haveaccess only
to the zones definedto the Area 1area and nowhere else.
PASS CODES
Access to all system functions,isprohibrted unless a valid four digit
( up 106 digKs on lhe Abacus 6115112) personal accesscodeIs
enteredat the control panel keypad (orremote keypad).
TAMPIER ZONES

A short, soft bleep tone Is emitted fromthe keypad sounder each

A continuous, medium toneIsemitted durtng the 'ExltlEntry' lime,
providing no zones areopenoracUvated.
FaultlUn-claar ExIt Tona '
An Intermittent, mediumtwotone signal Is emitteddurtngthe 'Exn'
time Wa Zone Is open or acUvated 10 wamthe user that a zone Is
_open or acUvated. This situation Is normal Wthe openor aclIvaled
zoneIsthe final dooror part of the'ExllJEntry RouteZone' and wm
not prohlbn normal setUng. ff a zone'other than the final door or
'ExltlEntry RouteZone' remains open or activated during setUng,
the systemwm not set.
'Bad Set'/Can't Sat Tona ,
Aloud,two tonewamlng signal Isemitted Intheevent of a zonethel
Isnot onthe'ExIt Route'being Inalannlopenat the start of the Exn
procedure, or also when a zone on the Exit route, remains open
afterthe'Exn'limehaselapsed. This signalprevents a userleaving

A rapid, Intennlttent, n:.e<l'lum tone Is emitted dUring the 'Extt' time,
providing no zonesareaeuvated, when part settlng the system.

A rapld, mediumtonesignal Isemitteddurtng the entry lime. Wthe
user does not unset the systemduringthe entry time, the rapid
mediumtonewillchangetoarapidloudtwotoneslgnalfortheperiod
of a second stagetimer.The'usermust unsetthesystemduringthe
first orsecondstagetimer, otherwise afull alanncondttlon will occur.
Fir. Alarm Tone
The rapid, loudtwotonesignal will alsobe emitted In theevent of
a 'Fire' alarm, It will sound for one second on,.then one second off
andcontinually repeat, untilsilenoedor thetimerlimitstheduration
of thealann.

a 'Fire' slann, 'Panic' alarm or any: attempt toInterfere with the
system components or wiring, Whether llie system Is set or unset.
