PTA Minutes Nov2013

The Sligo Creek PTA meeting minutes from November 5, 2013 were approved. Meghan Leahy then gave a presentation on power struggles between parents and children. Upcoming events were announced, including the book fair and Pete's Pizza fundraiser for the outdoor classroom. The next Science Night on November 14th will feature a talk by NASA scientist Jeremy Werdell about learning about the oceans from satellite images. Regular PTA meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.

Meghan Leahy - We were grateful to have parent coach Meghan Leahy join us for a
talk on power struggles. She shared insight and perspective on the developmental
stages of children and approaches parents can take to handle and avoid power
