PROPOSAL ON HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION Hotel Management System plays a great role and has a potential effect on day to day performance measures, this type of system have highly evolved from decades due to high demand for their use, effective and efficiency in any given institutions. Due to the rapid change of technology the use of such system has become a necessity to any given high learning institution for better performance and be used with quite a large number of users at the same time but it can save time, resources and creates awareness of the evolving technology. PROBLEM STATEMENT

Although technology is rapidly changing almost at the speed of light, some Hotels are still using manual reservation system to check in/out customers, Hotel facilities , management, share ideas and passing of information, for instance Staff performance assessment, customers room are done manually hence providing: * Providing untimely assessment informations. * Consumes a lot of time, * Waste and use lots of resource such as forms.

The sub-objective are to identify the requirement and design the Hotel reservation system that will resolve the above problem of manual reservation system, by designing and implementing the proposed system successfully it will benefit many parties; firstly by providing staff with access of easy view form.

Objective To create a best Working Model of a Hotel Management System which makes their record easy to save and update their customers data. To ease staff and admin with facilities for reservation process. To enable sharing of ideas, harmonize and provide timely useful information on how best to enhance performance. To ease decision making, save time and resources and utilize opportunities of new technology To detect customers double bookings. To reduce paper use at hotel To reduce the congestions of guest at the counter. To provide better data management facilities To identify the advantages and disadvantages of our system. To apply of hat we have learn from this course in our project.

Description Hotel Management System is web based hotel management software. It's scalable and ready for unlimited hotels, users, rooms and guests. Hotel Management System will help to insert new customers, update customers details, booking process and so on. It will also keep the repeat customer in their hotel. You can analyze reservation trends and work towards your future need. Rearrange reservations and allocate rooms without trying hard to delete or remove details. Managing repeat customers and recording customer preferences helps you to retain your customers. Make your customers feel unique and special by recording personal notes. Each time you make a reservation, the room status is updated and the customer details are added to your hotel database. Hotel Management System offers an operational integration between reservations, guest history, reception/ front desk, Sales Ledger, Accounting and Reporting modules. Hotel reservation System is a system designed to simplify the booking process and allow you to get on with running your business.
