A Few Words about Astrological Statistical Research 1. The proper statistical analysis in astrological research was pioneered in the 1950s by M Gauquelin in France and DA Bradley in the USA. Further statistical research had been done by B.I. Silverman, G.A. Tyson, E.H. Hare, J. Mayo, O. White and H.J. Eysenck and others. As Geoffrey Dean has said in Recent Advances in Natal Astrology, only recently have there been available adequate methodologies and computer techniques. 2. A practical application of most commonly used statistical tests in astrology like chai-squared test based on difference in distribution, t- test based on difference between means, F- test based on ratio of variances, the control group chosen by a two stage sampling frame of Leslie Kish (Survey Sampling, 1965), regression analysis, correlation matrices etc can be found in a Master degree thesis in the Michigan State University: Astrology as Science, a statistical approach by Mark Urban-Lurain, AFA, 1984. The calculations were done by the modified astrological research computer program of the American Federation of Astrologers (AFA), A Simple Approach of Study 3. As the astrological research computer program is not yet available, we apply a simple approach in our research study by checking chart by chart up to the standard requirement of minimum 100 AA charts (also mentioned by Judith Hill in Medical Astrology, A Guide to Planetary Pathology) as done by our Gurus and Church of Light (Astrology, 30 Years Research) without t-test, F-test, control group etc It is expected to achieve our acceptable confidence level by reducing the variance of errors and omissions through increasing the simple size. Observation of 100 AA Charts 4. By using the filter, 544 charts of prisoners, out of them 370 AA charts are found in the AstroDatabank 4.0. As per KPAstro 3.1 charts, Rahu is found as the 12th cuspal sub lord (12CSL) in the charts of serial number 3, 12, 20, 23, 31, 33, 34, 38, 41, 45, 48, 57, 66, 71, 75, 78, 83, 84 and 89 in the observation of up to 100 charts, as shown in the Appendix Table. 5.As per the cumulative frequency of imprisonment chief karaka Rahus appearance as 12CSL, provided in the following table, Rahus appearance is found to be stabilized around 19-20 %.

Each planets chance of appearance as 12CSL is 11.1% (1/9) and each planets frequency of appearance in 100 charts under study as 12CSL (CSL), star lord of 12CSL (Stl) and sub lord of 12CSL (Sbl) is as given in the table below.

The appearance of Saturn is very close to Rahu, chief karaka for imprisonment, in all three levels of 12CSL and its star lord and sub lord, followed by Venus and Mercury. It can be a natural malefic or benefic planet. 8. In addition, in the KPs Astrology & Prime Ministers by Kousalya Sattainathan, none of 11 Indian PMs (Jawaharlal Nehru to A.B.Vajpayee) has 12th cuspal sub lord Rahu even though most of them were imprisoned for political reason. The 12CSL of Indira Gandhi for the TOB close to the supposedly rectified by Guruji KSK.in the same book page 96 and Mahatma Gandhi in Notable Persons & KP by K. Hariharan, page 83 (justification for imprisonment) is Saturn. Findings 9. For imprisonment, the 12th cuspal sub lord may not be always Rahu but can be Saturn or another planet (in KP House Grouping- Part 4, KPEzine Jan 2008) has been found justified. 10. The signification of 2,3,8,12 houses by the 12CSL and its star lord and sub lord is clearly found valid in over 90 of 100 charts under study, as shown in the Appendix Table. 11. Consequently, in KP the signification of concerned house grouping is a deciding factor for an event to be promised and happen, and the karaka can play only a supportive role. This case belongs to one of my office colleague who had received a job offer and wanted to quit. Though, the negotiations were almost over and job prospects were favorable, yet she was curious to know, how would she fare in the new job. She approached me on Dec 02, 2008 right in the morning and asked me to know the professional prospects in the new job. I immediately prepared a time chart at 10:06:57 Hrs on 02-12-2008 and subjected it to scrutiny. Coordinates of judgment Lagna in a time chart for job change represents the native and 7th the employer. 3-9th cusps indicate the negotiations being held between them on the perks/terms of the job. The prospects in a time chart relating to the profession are primarily governed by the 10H, as this house decides the way the flow of karma takes place for matters relating to profession. The 6th house indicates the actual job conditions of the job in hand. It may be noted that the analysis of cusps of various houses along with the planetary significations represent the fixed promises of the chart but the results are dispensed by the suitable dasha-bhukti in consonance with the transits. The Query In the time chart, Moon is placed in 12th house in Capricorn indicating some sort of a mental block to be in a different environment and becoming uncomfortable. Moon in the star of Sun placed in 11th house gives motivation for change but its sub-lord Saturn placed in 8th house deters her mind and brings frustration because of a tough life in the new job and thereby resisting internally. It all indicated a scenario of frustration and apprehensions even after getting a breakthrough in the job, which was obvious for a lady who otherwise was settled in the present job. From the logistics point of view, I took the chart Ok to proceed further for analyzing the outcome of the job change. Analysis of the chart Look at the promise indicated by the lagna. Ketu is the lagna sub-lord. Ketu is a strong planet because of having no planet in its star. Placement of Ketu in 7th house (employer) indicated the employer in the dictating position as yet. The lady confirmed that the final deal of compensation package was yet to be arrived. At the stellar level, Ketu falls in the star of Mercury placed in the 11th house promising a decent job in hands but yet wavering by apprehensions because of the nature of changeable Mercury. Ketu in the own sub placed in 7th house had kept the key in the hands of the employer. Ketu disposes Moon (sign lord) and Mercury (Star lord). Moon is already analyzed in the preceding para, which showed the wavering mindset of the querist. Mercury falls in its own star placed in 11th house but its sub-lord Venus placed in 12th house again makes the native lost somewhere. In short, the indications of Lagna do not promise a clear-cut migration to a new job and enough anxiety is seen in the mindset of the native. Look at the 10th cuspal sub-lord indicating the promise of the new job. 10th cuspal sub-lord is Venus, which is a strong planet and its placement in 12th house does not portend a rosy picture and shows that the new job could be a burden on the native and could be draining her. At the stellar level, Venus falls in the star of weak 8th lord Sun placed in 11th house, which is OK. The sub-lord of Venus is Rahu and its placement in Lagna does not make the native earning through it (Lagna negating the 2nd house of earnings). Look at the 6th cusp for the actual job definition Jupiter is the cuspal sub-lord of the 6th cusp and being strong, its placement in 12th house in close conjunction with the Venus (Sub-lord of the 10th cusp) does indicate the native lost and disappointed.

At the stellar level, the promises are Ok as the Jupiter was in the star of Sun and in the sub of Mars both placed in 11th house. Looking to the 6th and 10th cusp together, it seems apparent that the job in hand is Ok but it involves some issues by way of which the native feels overburdened and uncomfortable. Look at the salary package through the 2nd cusp Saturn lords the sub of the 2nd cusp and as per its intrinsic nature, it would finalize the package slowly or at least keep certain incentives pending on performance basis. Saturn being in the star and sub of Sun placed in 11th house did promise a steady and slow rise in the package and that was obvious in a private sector. Look at the 11th cusp for the overall fructification of the query. Rahu (a strong planet) is the 11th cuspal sub-lord, which by way of its placement signifies lagna and the native seemed utmost concerned for her comfort zone. Thus, the dasha lord does not indicate a change of job and fructification of the desire of the querist. Conclusion It was communicated to the native that the job is available to you but you seem to be worried about the job conditions in terms of the involved burden & loss to your personal freedom, lesser pay packet to your expectations and fear of higher skill expected out of you. It was also indicated that even if the job was available, yet it could not be joined as dasha does not promote at this point of time. Some facts of the case After a few weeks, I came to know the following facts. The job was available but final perks were not decided yet. The job conditions were very hectic and she had the main worry of upbringing of her family in such a situation. The managerial skills were required in addition of the technical skill she had because of which she was not feeling confident. At last, she worked in the company for a week by taking leave and came to the conclusion that she cannot cope up there. She is continuing in the same position in the present assignment without anybody (other than me) knowing about the possible job offer, which had existed for her. Conclusion Prof. Krishnamurthy has devised a pioneering predictive model in predictive astrology, which deserves sincere appreciation.

Even some astrologers, like other ordinary men, doubt, whether all the events of life of a person can be predicted. But fortunately the doubt is cleared with the blessings of Guruji K.S. Krishnamurthy. He gave us the KP System. Later many of his followers proved it in many cases. In the year 1985 I was running aTelugu Astrology Magazine Bhagyarekha, by name. From its 11 number in 1st volume I reproduce a case study. On 4th Feb., 1985, one of my friends asked me to study his friends horoscope, who was in bed for more than one month. We both went to his house. After the introduction and other things are over I asked for his horoscope. I was told by the family members that they dont know even his birth particulars. Then as usual I asked the patient to choose a random number between 1-249. He selected 243. Next day i.e., 5th Feb.,1985 at 10.30 p.m. I began to work in Nellore. Those dasys we dont have computers and softwares. Based on Kp ephemeris and Astrological table of houses published from Hariman Book publishers from Madras I prepared the chart. As per KP if 1st cusp sub lord signifies Maraka and Badhaka houses it causes early death. Here Ven the 1st and 6th sl situated in Sat star. So we can assume that the disease is a chronic one. Sat and Ket are in 8th house. Sun Merc Ven and Sat are Malefics for Pisces Lagna. As Asc is Dual sign the 7th house from it, Kanya becomes Badhaka house besides being Maraka house. So Merc is the MarakaDhipathi and Badhkadhipathi. The planets deposited in the stars of planets who are in maraca and badhaka houses, Or the planets who are in the houses, Or conjoined with those planets, Or the planets who are in the stars of lords, of these houses, cause death. Here the badhaka sthana is Kanya. Its lord is Budha. Budha is in Moons star Sravana in Sat Rasi Makara and and in the Sub of Rahu. Budha is with Ravi Guru. Let us consider RP. That is Tuesday. Lagna is Kanya. Star is Aslesha. Rasi is Karka. Day lord Kuja, Sign lord Moon , Star Lord Budha, Lagna Lord Budha and lagna star lord is Kuja. Thus Mars,Moon,Merc becomes the ruling planets.

Short History A New Face to Salvadoran Politics? The highly anticipated U.S. Presidential Election has brought a wave of hope for change and confidence that the political process under an Obama Presidency will be put to work on the side of the people. A parallel case is seen in El Salvador, where people are hopeful that a positive shift in politics will be seen in the Salvadoran Presidential Election on March 15th, 2009. The two main contenders in the Presidential race are Rodrigo Avila, who belongs to the ruling rightwing National Republican Alliance Party (ARENA), and Mauricio Funes, who is a member of the leftist Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN). Already, this election cycle appears distinct from the past because, for the first time in nineteen years, polls of perspective voters tend to favour the latter candidate Funes. Despite political change and some economic growth, the majority of Salvadorans remain dissatisfied with ARENAs domestic policies. El Salvadors poorest families face enormous income inequality, which has continued to rise since 1999. High levels of crime have badly tarnished the image of the country by diminishing assets and programs for the poor, devaluing property and reducing employment rates. Many Salvadorans looking for change doggedly oppose ARENA, stating that the party uses violent tactics to enforce its neo-liberal policies and governs in favor of the countrys elite, which continues to promote the interests of those deemed responsible for the atrocities in El Salvadors years of bloody civil war in the 1980s. A poll conducted by the Public Opinion Institute of the Central American University revealed that 63 percent of the population believes that ARENA should no longer govern the country, and 80 percent of the country feels that the conditions of El Salvador have generally worsened under the current Government. The abovementioned statistics gives some indication that Rodrigo Avilas chances of victory in March09 Election are somewhat slimmer than ARENA had expected, partially as a result of the fact that Avila is relatively mediocre in the political sphere. Avila is a former Deputy Director of the National Police, who has focused his campaign on the slogan, A more just Country, progress with Equity. Avila has promised that he will establish a number of different projects, one of which is The National Child Nutrition Program. This social welfare program would provide extra food for families with children between 0-5 years of age. Avila also promises to increase pensions , improve family finances and preserve economic freedom. He has further guaranteed that he will avoid privatization of Public Health Services, and plans to reinstate the Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which helps Salvadorians who entered the U.S illegally to remain in this country for an extended period of time. Although Avila has his fair share of plans for El Salvador, it seems as though the electorate is beginning to turn its back on ARENAs failed policies, and becoming more willing to give the FMLN a chance to steer the country.
