Access Abacus Workspace

Abacus WorkSpace is our next generation Point of Sales that meets your unique business needs today, and
into the future. All Abacus Whiz users will be upgrade by batch to our new Point of Sales Abacus
WorkSpace by the end of 2013. After installation, Abacus WorkSpace icon will display on desktop as
below.

Note: you may require sign in twice.

Sign in is used for download Red Apps.

Sign in is used for access Abacus WorkSpace classical mode.

After double click the icon, system will prompt out a box which you can select Abacus WorkSpace or
Whiz.

A Sign in box will appear. You may require entering your password. System will check and download the
applicable apps to your Abacus WorkSpace at the 1

sign in.

Upon first time sign-in to Abacus and/or current passcode has been used for 90 days. You will receive
below prompt message:



You can input your new passcode and confirm new password. The host sign in password will be updated at
the same time.

All existing host sign in code and password you are using in Whiz are remain unchanged. Please sign in
with your current sign in code and password to access Abacus Workspace.

Change Passcode
To change your passcode, input your current passcode, tab to the new passcode field, input your new
passcode and enter. You will be signed into the Abacus system and your passcode will be changed. See
the Sign-In Mask below to become familiar with the fields.

Password must contain a combination of seven or eight alphanumeric characters.
E.g. ABCDEF1 or 1234567A.
You can use any numeric and alpha characters used except for Q and Z.
No more than three repeating characters allowed. E.g. ABCD888
You cannot reuse last four password.

Reservation and Ticketing

Highlight:
All host entries remain unchanged. You can use all entries in command view to finish the booking
as well.
In Abacus Workspace, some keys functions have been changed as below

Whiz Abacus WorkSpace
Clear Screen Ctrl + Backspace Alt + Backspace
Previous entry display Ctrl + Alt +

A Menu mask will rename as Red Apps.
In Abacus WorkSpace, you may use copy and paste instead of moving the cursor to previous entry
and enter.

Graphical View
Graphical View can enhance productivity with a full suite of GDS functionality on Air, Car, Hotel, Email
schedule with a simplified Graphical Workflow.

Email Proposal
Email proposal will store all draft and sent message. You may review or open messages which you
saved in email proposal.

Step 1: You can click Email Proposal for review the messages.

Step 2: Email proposal panel will prompt out. You can select drafts or sent massage.

Calendar View
Then, a fare calendar will display. The lowest fare will be displayed according to departure date and return
date with availability search. Lowest fare search capability that quickly enables you to not only present
customers the best fare options but also provide details with a single glance.

Example: In the below example, you may easily found out the fare departure on 18Mar and return on
25Mar is lower than the original selected date.






System will show the air result table. The table will show travelling date/time, booking class, fare type and
the total fare (included tax) etc. Moreover, you can email the below flight information or fare details to your
customer.

Scribe script is a tool which includes APIS/ Child and Infant/ FOID/ OSI functions to assist you at work in
different categories. You can fill in all traveler info and press enter. It will automatically converted into
entries and reflected in the Host screen.

Menu mask has renamed into Red app. You can find Whiz popular mask and power suite red app in AWS.
They can assist you at work in different parts.

1. Reissuance Red App
It maintains reissuance mask function. The workflow is same as Whiz mask.
