In 3-4 sentences, explain how 2 of the 3 (you choose) causes above helped bring about the Scientific Revolution. Justify with evidence from our lesson yesterday.
(L1) The Scientific Revolution was caused by ___________ (L2) Two of the historical events that helped bring about the Scientific
Revolution were______
#1 The Renaissance
#4 New Tools
#2 Age of Exploration
Scientific Revolution
#3 The Reformation
Two of the historical events that helped bring about the Scientific Revolution were the Age of exploration and the Reformation. Starting in the 1400s, the European Age of Exploration involved many countries looking outward and exploring areas that had never been seen by Europeans before. 0-5 The Scientific Method We are going to evaluate the Scientific Method by using a tool called Wordle.
Wordle gives us a great way to quickly evaluate a large document for key themes and ideas.
Step 1 - Click on wordle.net Step 2 - Click on the selected website Step 3 - Select and copy ALL text from the Introduction to the Conclusion Step 4 - Post it into Wordle and create a word cloud.
Step 5 - When you have generated your word cloud, pick the 10 largest BRICK words that are displayed. Write/type these in your notes. Step 6 Use as many of 10 brick words from above to generate a description of the Scientific Method. Example
The Scientific Method is a process where experiments are used to measure and test new ideas and the results are used to create new scientific theories.
A method of inquiry (investigation) based on gathering and measuring evidence, and coming to a conclusion based on this evidence
Think/Write/Share- Critical Thinking Why do you think the creation of the scientific method was such a revolutionary concept?
