Assignments Checklist

In your first week, all the work you do is for Seminar One of the Foundations for Academic Success module.

Schedule for the first week of your studies


Thursday Saturday Post your personal introduction to the Discussion Board. Reply to the Academic Honesty Declaration on the Discussion board. Submit your Initial Response to the Discussion Question (or DQ) to Turnitin and post it on the Discussion Board by midnight. Start your participation in the class discussion on the Discussion Board. Participate in the class discussion on the Discussion Board, making at least five follow-on postings to other students DQ Answers spread over at least three different days. Register for the Online Library (you will receive an email with details of how to do this). Submit HandIn Assignment using Turnitin.

Saturday Wednesday Monday or Tuesday Wednesday

In week two of your studies, you start the first module of your programme. You will divide your studies between Week 1A of that module and the Seminar 2 of the Foundations for Academic Success module.

Schedule for the second week of your studies


Thursday For Week 1A of your programmes first module: Post your personal introduction to the Discussion Board. Reply to the Academic Honesty Declaration on the Discussion board. For Seminar 2 of Foundations for Academic Success: Read over the Reading Resources section. For Week 1A of your programmes first module: Submit your Initial Response to the Discussion Question (or DQ) using Turnitin and post it on the Discussion Board by midnight. For Week 1A of your programmes first module: After submitting your DQ you will need to make follow-on postings on at least three different days (two days for Law programmes). For Week 1A of your programmes first module: Some programmes have a second DQ; please check the syllabus of your programme and the Instructors announcements for confirmation. For Seminar 2 of Foundations for Academic Success: Submit HandIn Assignment using Turnitin.

Saturday Wednesday Sunday or Monday Wednesday

In week three, you continue to divide your work between Week 1B of your programme and Seminar 3 of the Foundations for Academic Success module. Make sure you read the announcements from your Instructor (or Doctoral Tutor for Doctoral students) and check the syllabus for your programme to confirm the assignments you have this week; your schedule will vary depending on your programme of study. The table below is provided for guidance only.

Schedule for Seminar 3 of Foundations for Academic Success


Thursday Saturday Saturday Wednesday Read over the Reading Resources section. Submit your Initial Response to the Discussion Question (or DQ) to Turnitin and the Discussion Board by midnight. After submitting your DQ you will need making 3-5 follow-on postings spread over at least three different days.

Make sure you printout the syllabus for your programme so you can confirm the weekly assignments and deadlines!
