1. Rename your computer as given in the License File, license.lic (e.g. FC-1 as given below) and restart the computer.

2. Install SELECT Server Software (ss08050236en) provided in the Software CD. Complete the installation by continuing NEXT till FINISH.

3. Save the attached file to the SELECT server directory (C:\Program Files\SELECT server by default) as "license.lic

4. Once the file is in place, access the SELECT server Administrative Interface (Start -> Programs -> SELECTserver -> Administrative Interface). 5. Go to the second link down on the left, "License List". This page lists the features of the license (If this is a new install of SELECTserver, the only feature listed will be "No Products Licensed Commercial"). 6. Under that, there is a link called "Reload License File". Click that link and you will see a message that the license file has been reloaded.

7. Click License List again and you should see a list of all features in your license file.

Microstation License installation: 1. Run the Setup file provided in the Microstation Software folder and install till the FINISH. 2. Open a text editor (Notepad is recommended) to start a new text document. 3. Add the following line (in uppercase letters) SERVER="FC-1" (here Server name is computer name and in case of install the licenses named FC-1) Save the file in and as:

MicroStation

msv8.lic

...\program files\bentley\program\licensing\

4. Now run the Microstation Software and should run without asking for any trial period. For MX licensing follow the followings screen shots: 1. Install the license file for the MX Road (provided in MX ROAD folder by name of 08050202en_in). Follow the step to complete the installation:

2. Rename the SELECT Server PC to FC-1

3. At the below Stage of installation click on following: a. Microstation b. Windows

c. MX Road (below screen).remove the ticks and click ok to see icon on your desktop.

4. This will complete your installation of MX Road 5. Now you can install the MX Tools (mx08050202en_sp2) followed by (mxtools08050100en). 6. This completes your installation of Softwares. 7. Similar installation steps are to be followed with other Machine named FC-01. 8. The Softwares and licenses can also be installed in your home PC/ Laptop following the above steps.
