Nothng extra sha be payabe f the mean radus of the brck work curved n pan exceeds sx meters. 1.2.8.10 Tapered was sha be measured and pad for separatey. 1.2.9 RATE The rate sha ncude the cost of materas and abour requred for a the operatons descrbed above except the vertca renforcement and ts encasement n cement mortar or cement concrete. The rate sha aso ncude the foowng : (a) Rakng out |onts or fnshng |onts fush as the work proceeds. (b) Preparng tops of exstng was and the ke for rasng further new brck work. (c) Rough cuttng and waste for formng gabes, spays at eaves and he ke. (d) Leavng hoes for ppes upto 150 mm da and encasng hod fasts etc., (e) Rough cuttng and water for brck work curved n pan and for backng to stone or other types of facng. (f) Embeddng n ends of beams, |osts, sabs, ntes, ss, trusses etc.,
(g) Beddng wa pates, ntes, ss, roof tes, corrugated sheets, etc., n or on was f not covered n respectve tems and (h) Leavng chases of secton not exceedng 50cm n grth or 350 Sq.cm. n cross secton. () Brck on edge courses, cut brck corners, spays, reveas, cavty was, brck works curved on pan to a mean radus exceedng sx meters. 1.4 HALF BRICK WORK Brck work n haf brck was sha be done n the same manner as descrbed above n 1.2.4. except that the brcks sha be ad n stretcher bond. When the haf brck work s to be renforced. 2 Nos. M.S. bars of 6 mm da, sha be embedded n every thrd course s gven n the tem (the da of bars sha not exceed 8mm). These sha be securey anchored at ther end where the parttons end. The free ends of the renforcement sha be keyed nto the mortar of the man brck work to whch the haf brck work s |oned. The mortar used for renforced brck work sha be rch dense cement mortar of mx 1:4. Lme mortar sha not be used. Over aps n renforcement, f any sha not be ess than 30cm. The mortar nterposed between the renforcement bars and the brck sha not be ess than 5 mm. The mortar coverng n the drecton of |onts sha not be ess than 15 mm. 1.4.1 MEASUREMENTS The ength and heght of the wa sha be measured correct to a cm. The area sha be cacuated n Sq. m. where haf brck wa s |oned to the man was of one brck or greater thckness the measurements for haf brck wa sha be taken for ts cear ength from the face of the thcker wa. 1.4.2 RATE The rate ncudes the cost of the materas and abour nvoved n a the operatons descrbed above ncudng renforcement. 1.5 BRICK TILE WORK 1.5.0 The work sha be done n the same manner as descrbed n 5.2.4. except that brck te sha be used nstead of brcks.
The measurement and rate sha be same as specfed under 5.2 1.6.0 HONEY COMB BRICK WORK The brck honey comb work sha be done wth specfed cass of brck, ad n specfed mortar. A |onts and edges sha be struck fush to gve an even surface. The thckness of the brck honeycomb work sha be haf- brck ony, uness otherwse specfed. Openngs sha be equa and aternate wth haf brck ad wth a bearng of 2 cm on ether sde. 1.6.1 MEASUREMENTS The ength and heght sha be measured correct to a cm. Area sha be cacuated n square meters correct to two paces of decma. Honeycomb openngs sha not be deducted. 1.6.2 RATE The rate ncudes the cost of materas and abour nvoved n a the operatons descrbed above. 1.7 MOULDING AND CORNICES 1.7.0 The specfcatons descrbed under 5.2 sha appy n so far these are appcabe. Moudngs and cornces sha be made wth brcks as specfed for brck work. The brcks sha be cut and dressed to the requred shape as shown n the archtectura drawngs. 1.7.1 Cornces sha not ordnary pro|ect by more than 15 cm to 20 cm and ths pro|ecton sha be obtaned by pro|ectng each brck course by not more than one fourth of the brck course by not more than one fourth of the brck ength. For cornces pro|ectng more than 20 cm and requrng more than quarter brcks pro|ecton, meta camps sha be used and pad for separatey. 1.7.2 Corbeng sha be brought roughy to shape by pasterng wth the specfed mortar. When the mortar s st green, the moudngs sha be fnshed straght and true wth the hep of meta tempates.
1.7.3 CURING AND PROTECTION The moudngs and cornces sha be cured for at east seven days. These sha be protected form the effects of sun and ran by sutabe coverng and aso from damage durng the executon of the work. 1.7.4 MEASUREMENTS For the purpose of measurements, the sectona perphery of moudngs and cornces (excudng the porton n contact wth wa) sha be measured n centmeters and ength n meters. The grth and ength sha be measured correct to a cm. No deducton sha be made from the masonry of wa for the bearng of the moudng and cornces. 1.7.5 RATE The rate ncudes the cost of materas and abour nvoved n a the operatons descrbed above.
