Tesla Coil Theory

The document provides an overview of the theory and components of a Tesla coil. It discusses: 1) The basic components and functioning of a Tesla coil, including how high voltage is induced in the secondary coil through resonant coupling with the primary coil. 2) The additional components needed for a realistic Tesla coil, such as a mains voltage supply, high voltage power supply, tank capacitor, static spark gap, primary and secondary coils. 3) How each component works and its purpose, such as using an RFI filter to prevent radio frequency interference from damaging other devices on the electrical system.
