Tutorium Compressor Solution

This document provides the solution to a tutorial problem involving reciprocating compressors. It analyzes air compression in three cases: (1) isentropic, (2) reversible isothermal, and (3) polytropic with n=1.25. It then calculates bore size, volumetric efficiency, indicated power, and other parameters for single-stage compressors compressing air from various initial to final pressures. The maximum work is achieved through isothermal compression.
