This document comprises the CoCP Part B for the Thames Tideway Tunnel project works at Victoria Embankment Foreshore site and identifies the detailed site-specific measures including working hours, site set up and servicing arrangements, taking into account the environmental issues and consultations with the Westminster City Council and other stakeholders. For ease of reference the CoCP Part B mirrors the headings in Part A. The CoCP Part B sets out site-specific issues and deviations from Part A so where there are no site-specific measures reference should be made to the measures set out in Part A. A plan showing the location of the site is shown in Figure 1.1 below.

3.0.1
Site operation
Topic Site-specific requirement This site will adhere to the following working hours: a. standard b. continuous for duration of the Regent Street connection tunnel construction. Site layout
Temporary works construction within the river will be limited within the navigational channel. The detailed methods are to be agreed with the PLA, EA and MMO and subject to required licenses navigational risk assessments and consents. Hoarding on western boundary to increase from 2.4m to 3.6m. The hoarding is to be as defined in CoCP Part A para. 4.3.4a and b incorporating suitable art work and viewing windows. The local authority shall approve the external appearance of the hoarding. This approval shall not delay the erection of the hoarding, if construction work needs to commence in order to meet the programme. If this occurs, changes to the appearance will be agreed with the local authority and implemented as soon as practicable thereafter. As per text in CoCP Part A. A site-specific lighting plan is required. The lighting will address the impact on terrestrial and aquatic ecology and include the use of low level directional lighting where possible whilst meeting safe work requirements.
Traffic management
Victoria Embankment Foreshore Topic Site-specific requirement for traffic along Victoria Embankment. Construction works to maintain two lanes on both carriageways, except for short durations during utility diversions where only one lane on the west bound carriageway will be maintained. Prior to suspending any coach parking spaces alternative parking spaces will be provided. The coach parking will be reinstated on completion of the works unless agreed with the highway authority. It is proposed that subject to the relevant highway consents being obtained the coach parking spaces would be relocated to Albert Embankment (A3036) between Tinworth Street and Black Prince Road, Millbank (A3212) between Thorney Street and Atterbury Street, or Lambeth Palace Road (A3036) to the north of Lambeth Road (A3203) / Lambeth Bridge (A3203) / Albert Embankment (A3036) / Lambeth Palace Road (A3036) roundabout. The minimum width of traffic lanes along Victoria Embankment to be retained is one outer lane of 3.0m in each direction, and a second inner lane (where applicable) of 3.25m. Suitable central safety barrier to be installed between alternate direction lanes. Site areas impact into traffic lanes extent and duration to be minimised. Traffic barriers to be moved in and out as construction progresses as Transport for London require minimum land take within highway. Event restrictions To be confirmed in consultations with local authority and Transport for London. The London Marathon. Contractor to take appropriate measures prior to and for the duration of the event including items such as minimising extent of works within the highway. The contractor shall liaise with City of London, Westminster City Council and TfL Event Planning teams with regard to other major events which may affect Victoria Embankment. River transport Access to the existing Embankment Pier to be maintained for both pedestrians and services. Liaison with London River Services (Transport for London) is required.
Victoria Embankment Foreshore Topic Other Site-specific requirement The diversion of the Thames Path is to be clearly signed.
