Lindseys Letter
Welcome back! Its been a great full week back to school. I have been so excited to see each students smiling face and hear their stories about their breaks. We have taken this week to settle back into our routine. I know I was ready to be back in our routine. Thank you once again for making this a fun and memorable year! Famous Missourians We will begin working on these next week. Students need to have a final decision on who they will be choosing by Tuesday, January 21st. Please help them choose someone that will be G rated since Kindergarten is invited to our Live Wax Museum. Students are expected to complete the following activities throughout this project. Biography must include birth and death information (if applicable), famous quote, early life, challenges, accomplishments, why they are considered a famous Missourian, and their impact on the lives of others. Speech once we have written our biographies (at school), students will use that information to write a 2-3 minute speech to use during our Live Wax Museum. I encourage these to be memorized but it is not mandatory. We will work on these at school, but students may work on them at home as well. Board This part is homework. Students need to create a display board that will be used during the wax museum. The board needs to include pictures, a timeline, and interesting facts. They may create a tri-board or a poster board. We will spend some time researching this at school and I will help students who are unable to print pictures from home to put on their boards. Live Wax Museum February 27th you are all invited during our parent/teacher conferences to walk through the live museum to see all the fourth graders live in action. They will need to have a costume and their board ready for this night. I will send more information about the specific time of this event soon.
