Lesson A Georgia Has Regions?

This lesson plan introduces students to Georgia's five geographic regions through a variety of instructional activities. On the first day, students will take a pre-test and be introduced to the five regions - Blue Ridge Mountains, Piedmont, Coastal Plain, Valley and Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau. They will watch a video on Georgia's tourism and view images of each region. On the second day, students will learn more about the characteristics of each region by viewing them on a map and in books. The lesson aims to help students understand how the natural features of each region influence the way of life in Georgia.
