What Is Salt Therapy?
What Is Salt Therapy?
Salt Therapy is a high dispersion saline aerosol microclimate treatment. It is a therapeutic method based on the principle of natural salt mine's microclimate (Speleotherapy), which is prolonged exposure to the specific microclimate of caves and salt mines. It's a patented method where dry salt aerosol plays an important role in the relief of health problems, and is used for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, other respiratory problems and skin allergies.
Tuberculosis, Hyperthyroidism, Cirrhosis and emphysema they are not good candidates for Salt Therapy.
10. What advantages does a Salt Cave - Salt Therapy have over the original salt mine cave environment?
Unlike the natural cave/salt mine clinic, the artificial Salt Cave with our special nebulizer is a controlled environment where the salt aerosol concentration, temperature and humidity are constant and the size of the salt aerosol is controlled (1-5mkm). The air is hypobacterial, allergen free and saturated with dry sodium chloride aerosol. A session in our Salt Cave takes 1 hour minutes and patients come back 10-30 times depending on their condition. Meanwhile in a natural salt cave, people spend 2-3 hours a day, during a period of 2-3 months.
15. I thought salt is not good for us. Why is it good in the lungs?
Eating too much salt is linked to high blood pressure, which can increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes. However with Salt Therapy you will breathe the dry saline aerosol into the respiratory system, it does not go to your stomach / heart / kidneys. The concentration is 1-10 mg/m3 is in the Salt Cave and a normal adult's daily recommended salt intake is 6g, from this you can see that the amount of salt going into your respiratory system is really low. Even if you would eat it instead of breathing it that amount would not trigger any issue. In the lungs however it kills the bacteria, reduce the mucus and inflammation.
mineralization of body for 12 to 18 days a cure, which may be repeated cyclically few months or whenever necessary For asthma, depending on the degree of manifestation of the disease, 1 hour minutes 1 hour / day for 24 to 30 days / relief that can be repeated cyclically, with a rest period of approx. 3-6 months, or times whenever one needs. For various respiratory diseases, depending on their degree of expression between 30 to 60 min / day for 14 to 24 days / cure In the treatment of prevention, especially in periods of change of seasons, when bodies are prone to illness, between 30 - 60 min / day for min. 12 days. Remineralizare in the treatment of the body, in the treatment of maintenance in the treatment of relaxation, in the treatment of recovery, in the treatment of prevention, etc. between 30 - 60 min / day Whenever one wants min. 30 min. / day
18.What the difference between Salt Pipe and The Salt Cave?
The heart of The Salt Cave is a medical device, called Dry Saline Diffuser, which continuously generates and monitors the dry salt aerosol microclimate. In the halochamber the concentration; size of the particles; temperature; humidity and the level of negative ionized charging, is constantly measured and controlled during the session. Salt Pipes purchased from the internet could be cheap, but obviously they cannot provide the same quality aerosol, which plays key role in the healing of the respiratory system. Salt particles in the pipe soon become oxidised after a few usage, therefore won't be able to make any healing effect.
A: No! The device could be a complementary or stand alone (alternative) treatment and does not interact with any classical treatment.
21. Will the other air cleaners take the salt out of the air that the Halotherapy Device puts in the air?
A: Even if the majority of salt micro particles are under 1 micron, some filters as HEPA can remove the salt micro particles from air. However, it is recommended that the device should be used at least 8 hours a day, and preferable during the night and to be ""25-30 inches from the patient, preferable at the same level (e.g. using a night table), and the air flows towards him. Using these directions you'll be able to benefit of the salty air even if you use other air cleaners.
the nasal passages, diminishes the snoring and obtain a more relaxed and therapeutic sleep.
24. Is there any disorders that it is not recommended for? (e.g Down syndrome, Lennox Gastaut syndrome (severe form of epilepsy), etc?
A: No! This therapy is very safe, no side-effects and no interaction with other treatments. Unless the noise could disturb a very sensitive person, the salt therapy itself is very safe.
28. Will the salt sting my eyes? My eyes burn and itch from allergies.
A: The salty air will not harm your eyes because the salt micro particles are very, very small, under 5 microns with a majority under 1 micron; you cannot feel the salt into air or taste salty. Also, in speleotherapy (salt cave
therapy) has been noticed the allergen free micro environment due to bactericide and bacteriostatic properties of the salt.
