We hope you enjoyed the Christmas break and are looking forward to an exciting Spring Term!

LEARNING
Each childs E!T STE"S in learning is displayed in their classrooms# "lease take the time to look and discuss the ext Steps with your child and staff# The short term $earning Topics are signposted in classroom windows# Topics this term include Transport and %ccupations# Some special &isitors will be coming to support us! We will be learning to add and subtract' time and money' read and write short sentences and act out stories# (omework ideas for $iteracy and )aths will be sent weekly#

3 ! 3AGS 6ll children ha&e 4 books in their book bag: a story book and reading scheme book# "arents;carers can change the story books during ST6< = +E6* on .riday mornings# +eading scheme books will be changed on .riday by the +eception staff# "$E6SE lea&e this book in the book bag# "lease remember to write in the white +E6*- > +EC%+* book# Encourage your child to read and write the words in the reading scheme book using their sounds# Sharing the story book with your child is an important part of learning about reading# (a&e fun!

CLI43ING 5RA4E .or (ealth and Safety reasons "$E6SE do not allow your children to use the climbing frame in the +eception area after school# The number and range of ages;si9es of children seen using the climbing frame at this time is a potential (ealth and Safety issue# This e?uipment was purchased for the +eception children to use during school time @ any other use could make the e?uipment unsafe#
