Queenstown Secondary School Mid-Year Exam 2010 Scheme of Assessment Sec 2 Normal Academic Subject Paper Duration Description

Candidates answer both Section 1 and Section 2. Section 1 Free Writing Four topics are set. Choose one topic and write 200 350 words on it. Section 2 Situational Writing Candidates write 150 220 words on the question. All questions are compulsory. Section A: Comprehension Vocabulary Summary Section B: Grammar Letter writing + composition comprehension Listening comprehension Section A: Functional Writing (OE) - letter writing - dialogue (Minimum of 80 words) Section B: Essay Writing (OE) - Descriptive - Expository - Narrative (Minimum of 180 words) Section A A1 Prefixes, suffixes, affixes A2 Proverbs A3 Writing sentences A4 Gap Passage Section B Comprehension (MCQ) Section C Comprehension (OE) Listening Comprehension Marks Weighting
