TEXTBOOK
GILBERT STRANG LINEAR ALGEBRA AND ITS APPLICATIONS (3rd or 4th editions)

PROBLEM SESSIONS
You are strongly advised to attend the problem sessions regularly.

ASSESSMENT
There will be one mid-term exam (40%) on July 19 (Friday) from 17:00-19:00, and a nal exam (60%) at the end of the semester. In case you miss one of the exams, you fail the course. In any case, there will be no make-up exam even if you have an acceptable excuse. There will be no E-exam.

EXAM REGULATIONS
You will be given a MATH 201 NUMBER prior to the midterm examination. Memorize it. Bring an ofcial IDENTIFICATION CARD (Bo!azii University Student ID Card, Nfus Czdani, Drivers License or Passport) to the exams. We will not accept any other form of ID. Write your name and MATH 201 NUMBER on each exam sheet with a pen or a fountain pen, and use a pencil for your answers. Show your work and reasoning in working out the exam questions. We want to see whether you are capable of arriving at the solution to that problem; hence we will grade not only your answers but also the way you arrive at that answer. You can see your exam papers and request their re-evaluation only at the specied times. In case you believe that your answer(s) should be re-evaluated, it is your responsibility to make a well founded comparison of your solution(s) with those on the answer key, and clearly explain why you want your answer be re-evaluated. During this process, you will not be allowed to ask any questions. Please be aware that your score may be reduced after the re-evaluation.

STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Students with disabilities or other special needs should see the instructor as soon as possible. Additionally, they should contact the instructor at least 5 days prior to each exam.
