Content and Learning Standards: Content Standard 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance. Learning Standard 1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance.
Lesson Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: i) complete given worksheet with at least 8 out of 10 questions correct. ii) respond to the teacher and talk about subject matter by linking it to real life context. 1. Teacher shows a picture of i. To arouse a farm using flashcard. 2. Teacher plays the audio sounds of farm animals. 3. Teacher calls pupils randomly to tell the animal that belong to the respective sound.
2. Teacher gets the pupils to produce the sounds of the respective animal shown.
3. Teacher gets the pupils to talk by asking if they have seen the particular animal in real life before and to give a brief description of his/her experience.
4. Teacher discusses the names of shelters which the animals live in with the students. Whilelistening (20 minutes) The video The Animals On The Farm 1. Teacher informs the pupils they are going to watch a video entitled The Animals On The Farm twice and to listen to the sounds of the animals while completing the worksheet which will be distributed. 2. Teacher distributes the worksheets to the pupils. The remedial worksheet requires the pupils to match the animal to the sound, whereas the enrichment worksheet requires the pupils to fill in the blanks with iii.
