Calendar: Chouinard To Boost Education in The Arts

The Chouinard Foundation will partner with the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks to provide art education programs in underserved public recreation centers. The foundation will hold art classes and bring in visiting artists to teach at centers. This will begin with a pilot program at the Exposition Park Intergenerational Community Center, with the goal of eventually expanding it to 47 centers citywide. The partnership aims to provide free art instruction to youth and prevent at-risk teenagers from engaging in gangs or drugs.
