In the standard release of SAP 4.6 f!nctionality "as added into the Plant Maintenance mod!le to s!pport additional re#!irements for Fleet Management. The p!rpose of this "hite paper is to briefly e$plain basic config!ration necessary to deploy this f!nctionality. Fleet Management f!nctionality is contained on additional screens that "ere added to the standard e#!ipment change%display transactions. To create ne" fleet e#!ipment transaction I&'( "as added to the core system and sho!ld be !tili)ed instead of transaction I&*( and I&(*. These additional screens are called by the standard transactions once the config!ration definition of ob+ect types for !se in Fleet Management is completed and the ,ie" profile definitions are established. &,en tho!gh this additional f!nctionality has been added reporting and analysis can-t be achie,ed thro!gh the !se of standard PM Info Str!ct!res. Fle$ible analysis "ill need to be !tili)ed to obtain meaning fleet metrics.
