Prayer for the Week

EASTER PRAYER Lord help me to be a good companion and a good listener on my journey through life. Help me to hear your pattern of dying and rising unfolding in my own life and the experience of those around me. Help me to hear your voice and hang on to hope, especially when things look black. Show me how to see things from your point of view. Make me a good listener so the seeds of resurrection might come to life in the experience of others. Amen. (Could be read with the Bible passage about Jesus on the road to Emmaus after his resurrection in Lukes Gospel, chapter 24)

Headteachers Comments
Welcome Back
I trust that all students have had a very enjoyable break. For those students who are about to take public exams the next few weeks are absolutely crucial and I trust that revision is well underway.

Girls Football
Congratulations to the KS3 girls football team who played magnificently in the Town final when they beat St Hilds 4 1. They were a real credit to the school and to staff.

Radio 2 Writing Competition

Congratulations to Y8 students Jessica Hinds and Georgina Parvin Guerreiro who have reached the semifinal of the Radio 2 Writing Competition in which there were 118,000 entries.

One Night Only

Congratulations to all who participated in One Night Only and thanks to those who supported the event backstage. There were 32 acts in total and the quality was amazing. You can get some idea of these by looking at the highlights on the school website.

Rotary Club Photography Competition

Congratulations to Adam Gofton who has won the Rotary Club District Competition following his success in the Hartlepool round. Adam now goes on the National Final.

Giraffe
We now have a giraffe in our school foyer. It was created by Wiktoria Borowicz as part of her art homework. It is a really remarkable creation.

Jokes And Riddles

Sorry there are no jokes and riddles this week. If you want to make a contribution please take them to the school office for the attention of Mrs Wilson
