Lesson Plan Class : Year 5 Time : 10.35-11.35 a.

m Subject : English Unit 7: Places around Us Sub-topic : Preposition Objectives : : To reinforce the proper use/ identification of prepositions in a sentence. To make students aware of how prepositions can easily add detail to a sentence.

Stages 1. Introduction (Induction Set) - Video about preposition 2. Presentation

Activities - Pupils watching videos about prepositions

Teaching Aids - Video

3. Practice

4. Production 5. Closing

Teacher explains further about prepositions (focus on prepositions of place) The pupils are divided in two groups (boys vs girls). The two groups will choose the correct word cards and paste the cards on the board. The two groups will be given another word cards about sentences, they have to arrange the word cards to form a sentence and write the correct preposition in the sentence given. The pupils will be given worksheets about preposition. Show the video about preposition again.
