4-5 sheets of blank, lined paper to use for your
rough draft and final draft
Quiet place to work
Comfortable chair
Hard surface to use for writing
A Learning Coach who can help you
with the time for each section
Writing Assignment: Persuasive
Homeroom teachers will answer all portfolio questions by
K-mail.
You and your student will receive a portfolio evaluation
from your teacher by K-mail.
Let your student work independently.
Carefully read and follow directions on
your 2011-2012 portfolio assignment
before you mail your excellent work.
Break down of writing time:
15 minutes for planning/prewriting
45 minutes for drafting
20 minutes for revising
30 minutes for writing your final draft
10 minutes for proofreading
