IIBA Academic Membership Program

The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Academic Membership Program provides an
opportunity for colleges and universities to forge a strong partnership with IIBA

for the
advancement of the profession of business analysis. The goal of IIBA is provide Academic Members
with the products and services to offer industry recognized curricula to their students, and allow
their students to access the many benefits of IIBA membership.
Both the IIBA Certificate and Diploma Recognition Programs will recognize students enrolled in
undergraduate programs related to business analysis for the knowledge they have gained in this

Academic Membership Benefits
The college or university, their faculty and students will be associated with IIBA, the worlds leading
organization for the business analysis profession. In addition to the individual member benefits
included with IIBA membership, Academic Members will receive:
A discount on membership fees.
A royalty-free licence to host a secure copy of A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of
Knowledge

(BABOK

Guide) on the college or university intranet a $5,000 value for free.


Exclusive Academic Member only authorization to offer the Academic Certificate in Business
Analysis and the Academic Diploma in Business Analysis.
50% discount on bulk purchases of hard copies of the BABOK Guide
11% discount off the exam fees for IIBA certifications
25% discount on a licence for the IIBA Business Analysis Competency Model
20% discount on IIBA services
Academic Membership Requirements
In becoming an Academic Member, the educational institution makes the following commitments:
The institution will achieve and maintain ten (10) individual IIBA member registrations at the
completion of the first year of Academic Membership. These memberships can include
students, faculty, and/or staff.
The discount code provided to the institution will only be given to students enrolled in
business analysis related courses and programs and their faculty, as well as institution staff.
Once each year, the institution will review the list of individuals using the institutions
discount code and advise IIBA of any individuals not eligible to use the discount code.
The institution grants IIBA the right to identify the institution as an IIBA Academic Member,
including posting the institutions logo on the IIBA Academic Membership web page.
