DOT Specification 4B

This document outlines specifications for DOT Specification 4B welded or brazed steel cylinders, including: - Requirements for steel composition, welding/brazing procedures, wall thickness, pressure testing, and physical testing. - Cylinders must withstand a hydrostatic test of at least two times the service pressure and not exceed 10% permanent volumetric expansion. - After pressure testing, one cylinder per lot of 200 or less must pass a flattening test where it is pressed between knife edges until flattened to 50% of its original diameter without cracking.
