This week are going to continue to reiew the
oca!ulary $rom this unit% an actor, an actress, an
astronaut, a dentist, a $armer, a soldier, a
eterinarian, a dancer, a doctor, a policeman, a
$ireman, a mailman, a nurse, a !us drier, a pilot,
a teacher, a waiter, a !ar!er, a student, a cook#
&n order to gain $ocus and warm- up we did some
e'ercises and stretches and counted them as we
completed them# This was a success$ul way to
engage all children#

%entence %tructure:
This week we are going to $ocus on using what is he(she) he(she is a policeman# We will
also continue to practise what is it) it is a(an####### during the lessons# &t is the same as
last week !ut we need to continue to practise it until the class is com$orta!le using it without
any help $rom the teacher#

We are going to play duck, duck, goose using the oca!ulary in place o$ goose# We will
play splat where * students race to hit the correct $lashcard called out !y the teacher and
also play charades where the students guess the occupation !eing acted out !y one o$ the
students#
We are going to play hangman this week to work on the spelling and reading# Students will !e
a!le to use their worksheets which hae all the words to assist them to guess the occupation#
W!rksheets:
This week we are going to do a worksheet on occupations where the students will trace the
words and then match up the correct word to the picture# This will practise their spelling and
reading skills and test i$ they understand the oca!ulary#
& will do an e'ercise on the !oard where the students will hae to write down a list o$
occupations !ut $ill in the missing letters# When completed we will reiew it as a group#

unaccompanied and without any prompts# We will then moe on to ap words such as cap,

We will continue to concentrate on letter
sounds this week in order to hae a strong
!ase $or $uture reading skills# -y haing a
clear understanding o$ the letter sounds, the

an and play games with $lash cards and
pictures to test reading skills# 1ly swat, run
and slap, and 2ims game will !e played
with the words only to see i$ the children can
identi$y and tell the rest o$ the class, each

children must say which word has gone# The
game ends when all words hae
