Milestones of ICF

ICF has achieved many milestones over the years in coach production and export since producing its first indigenous shell in 1955. Some key milestones include producing India's first fully furnished third class sleeper coach in 1961, first AC motor coach with Hitachi equipment in 1963, first MG diesel rail car in 1964-65, first Rajdhani Express in November 1968, first BG AC 2 tier sleeper in December 1974, first MG palace on wheels in July 1991, first biological toilet implemented in May 1995, and first LHB stainless steel coach design in 2008-09. ICF has exported coaches around the world and introduced many coach types to meet various rail transport needs over its history of over 60 years.
