Infer Rubric 2

This rubric is used to evaluate students' ability to make inferences when reading a text. It rates inferences on a scale of 1 to 6, with higher scores given for developing thoughtful predictions, interpretations and conclusions supported by details from the text and outside knowledge. Lower scores are given for inferences that are inaccurate, unsubstantiated or show a lack of understanding of the text.
