Calculating Comparing Irrigation Costs Guide

This document provides a user guide for calculating and comparing costs of different irrigation pumping solutions using a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet allows users to input details about six pumping solutions - including diesel, electric, natural gas, liquid petroleum and gasoline - to calculate the energy and operating costs per acre of water pumped. The user must provide information like head pressure, fuel prices, pump efficiencies. Based on the user's inputs, the spreadsheet calculates intermediate values and the final table compares the cost per acre for each pumping solution. Contact information is provided for additional assistance.
