Faculty of Engineering Mechanical Engineering Department: Prahme@ndu - Edu.lb
This document provides information about the MEN 400 Mechanics of Composite Materials course offered during the summer 2014 semester at Notre Dame University-Louaize. The course is a 3-credit technical elective for mechanical engineering students that introduces students to composite materials. It will be taught on Mondays through Fridays from 11:00-12:30 in room HA202 by Dr. Pierre Rahme. Students will learn about the macro- and micromechanical behavior of laminae and laminates, including stress/strain analyses, strength theories, and hygrothermal behavior. Assessment will include two exams, a final exam, and assignments, with the exams making up 90% of the final grade.
