DieselTRONIC
What is it?
The DieselTRONIC is a performance and economy enhancing engine control unit (ECU)
conventionally referred as Diesel Tuning Box for vehicles that are powered by common rail
diesel (CRDI) engines. Manufactured with automotive grade electronics, backed with patented
technologies and advanced enhancements such as ADSL (Adaptive-Self Learning) that
understands the driving style and adapts the maps to enhance and deliver just what you need,
complemented with the options of 4 different maps that are switchable by remote-control on the
fly, its a system that stands apart from everything else.

Installation Instructions
1) Switch the engine off and remove the key from the ignition switch
2) Disconnect battery terminal, and wait for one minute
3) Remove the engine top dust cover if present (Remove bolts/screws if any, to remove
cover)
4) Locate the fuel rail sensor as shown in Sensor location
5) Unplug the stock coupler/connector from the common rail
6) Go to page (Wiring Harness types section) to take a look at the coupler orientation before
going to step 7
7) Connect DieselTRONIC harness female coupler/connector to the common rail and the
unplugged original coupler/connector to DieselTRONIC harness male coupler/connector
8) Place the DieselTRONIC Tuning Box in a suitable place away from high temperatures
9) Ensure that the DieselTRONIC wiring harness is away from moving parts like belts,
pulleys, etc. and high temperature parts like exhaust manifold, turbo, etc. in the engine
compartment
10) Turn ignition on and check for red LED glow on the box which shows power-on and the
green LED shows which MAP is selected (Green LED: 1 blink [Stock], 2 blinks [Economy],
3 blinks [P1], 4 blinks [P2] )
11) Install back the top engine cover and any other OE hoses that may have been removed
earlier in Step 3
Special Instructions
To change modes in INNOVA/FORTUNER
Step1: To change mode, first double click the desired mode on the remote while the engine is
on.
Step2: Turn OFF the ignition
Step3: Turn ON the ignition. Now the engine is on the desired mode.

2) Remove Stock Coupler
If Power cable is present, connect to the
battery positive. Place DieselTRONIC away
from heat with a two side tape or tie
wraps.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much improvement will I get - in terms of Power & Fuel Economy?
Power
For your convenience we have given increments of power improvements
P1-off-peak upto 20%, peak upto 15% increase in power and torque,
P2-Off peak upto 40% and peak upto 30% increase in power and torque,
Efficiency
We have separate mode for economy (E Mode) only, on which customers have seen an increase in mileage anywhere
between 5-35% depending on traffic, driving habits, Etc.
Please note this mode enhances efficiency only when driving style is smooth, gentle and gradual speed increments.
P1 mode also increases mileage for almost all driving styles, upto 10% - 25% depending on driving styles. As this
mode increases power, due to reduced gearshifts and quicker upshifts, the mileage also increases.
Drivability
P1 and P2 are a more drivable than original, with power starting much earlier on in the powerband along with
reduced turbo lag.

2. Will the box void my vehicle warranty?
No. But please ensure the tuning box is removed before the vehicle visits dealerships for service/repairs, as the
warranty may be void if the vehicle is found to have any aftermarket non-OEM product installed.

3. Are there any associated problems after installation?
No, we have covered Lakhs of kilometres testing the product, with customers using it every day in every possible
condition without facing any problems.

4. Are there any other performance modifications you would like to suggest? How much will it cost me?
The car responds better with an aftermarket air filter.

5. Where are you guys located?
We are located in Koramangala, Bangalore.
6. Can I use the same DieselTRONIC unit on my new car?
You can use it again if you have purchased a vehicle with common rail direct injection system. However you will have
to get the same unit reprogrammed and may have to purchase a new wiring harness if necessary.

7. What about maintenance?
100% maintenance-free and has no serviceable parts, just plug in and enjoy.

8. Will my maximum speed change?
No, it does not modify the speed governor. DieselTRONIC only increases torque and power.

9. What if I dont get Fuel Efficiency (Mileage)?
Please use the box for a couple of full-tanks in P1 and E mode. You will have increased mileage in E if your driving is
smooth, gradual and not heavy, and P1 for all other driving styles.
As the vehicle becomes more responsive, fun and powerful to drive, many customers may involuntarily drive their
vehicles much harder than before, which might not result in substantial increase in mileage.

10. Can you give me the number of any of your customers for feedback?

11. Does it affect the life of my engine?
The DieselTRONIC is calibrated within manufacturer limits; hence engine life, stress, etc. should be as
good as original.
12. Will there be any extra black smoke problems after installing the DieselTRONIC?
There will not be any increase in smoke in E and P1 modes, P2 may have a negligible increase in certain
cars only.
13. How is More Power and More Mileage achieved with the DieselTRONIC?
The DieselTRONIC basically optimises the fuelling to give Power and Mileage.

14. How easy is it to plug and unplug the DieselTRONIC?
It can be plugged and unplugged by customers themselves by using the installation manual.

15. Does the DieselTRONIC involve cutting of any wires?
No, since the connectors are a perfect fit for the car, hence, it involves no cutting of wires.

16. Where is the DieselTRONIC placed?
In the engine compartment, DieselTRONIC is a automotive grade product and can withstand upto 120
degrees.

17. What is the fail safe protection your product has?
One can always plug back your OE connector and it will run in Mfg. Settings.

18. What is the difference between off-peak and peak power?
Off peak power is seen before the stock car reaches the maximum power level.

19. Whats the price for the DieselTRONIC-PRO? Where can it be purchased?
It is priced at INR 19,999 (All Inclusive). You can visit the website to locate your nearest dealer.

20. Whats the warranty on the DieselTRONIC?
It comes with a 2 year replacement warranty.
