Horizontal 2 Phase Separator Sizing

The document provides design basis parameters for a gas-liquid separator including gas and liquid flow rates, operating pressures and temperatures, densities, and mist eliminator specifications. It then shows calculations for actual gas and liquid rates based on these parameters and simulations, required gas and liquid velocities, and holdup and surge volumes needed. A trial and error selection process is shown to determine the optimal separator length that meets minimum criteria for length to diameter ratio, area ratios, and holdup times.
