Benefits: Involves communication, get to know one another and also find out things you might
not know about each other
Equipment: Pen/pencil, paper
Environment: Anywhere
Organization of Group: Have everyone sit in a circle
Number of Players Needed: At least 5
Objective/Purpose of Game: To guess the most correct about the persons lie
Directions: Have everyone write down two truths and one lie on a paper, then go around the
circle to say their individual paper and everyone guesses which one is the lie. The person to
guess the most correct wins
Variations: Do different information about the person such as favorite sports

Organization of Group: Have everyone sit in a circle
Number of Players Needed: At least 10
Objective/Purpose of Game: To tell everyone in you class or group about yourself
Directions: Have everyone sit in a circle and pass around a roll of toilet paper. Have everyone
rip off as many sheets as they want and as many sheets as you tear off you have to say a fact
about yourself for each sheet.
Variations: Have the group say favorite foods or a specific category instead of just facts

Organization of Group: Have everyone split up into groups of about 4-5 people depending on
the size and sit in a circle
Number of Players Needed: At least 20
Objective/Purpose of Game: To come up with as many similarities between your group as you
can in the time provided
Directions: Have everyone split into groups with people they dont know and as soon as the
instructor says go, you talk among your group and come up with as many similarities as you can
in the time limit provided
Variations: Switch up teams to meet and talk with new people

Activity: Shoe Game
Age Group: 10 years and up
Activity Category: Ice Breaker
Benefits: Gets you comfortable being around and close to each other
Equipment: People, shoes
Environment: Anywhere
Organization of Group: Have everyone split into 2 different teams
Number of Players Needed: At least 10
Objective/Purpose of Game: To successfully have all the different shoes touching their match
before the other team
Directions: Have everyone remove one of their shoes and put in a pile with all your other
teammates shoes. Then everyone stands away from the shoes and then the instructor says go and
you go put another shoe on that isnt yours and match it with its match as well as your original
shoe on with the one you took off and the first team to have all the matches touching in their
group wins
Variations: Change teams and switch shoes around
Safety Concerns: People not wanting to put someone elses shoe on, possibly fall or twist ankle

Organization of Group: Have everyone split into 2 teams

Objective/Purpose of Game: To guess what you think or like depending on the questions and
have the most than the other team
Directions: Have everyone split into 2 teams and sit in a line. Then ask a question such as what
is your favorite food? And the team with the most similar as the one person up from that team
gets a point and the team with the most points wins.
Variations: Different questions, different teams

Organization of Group: Have everyone choose a partner and stand back to back
Number of Players Needed: At least 10
Objective/Purpose of Game: To see who can win the game by not laughing when turning
around
Directions: Tell everyone to choose a partner and stand back to back. Once you say three two
one go they turn around and look at each other and the first to laugh losses and the other person
moves on to stand back to back to another person. Once there are only two left the first to laugh
losses and the other person wins.
Variations: Stand in a group and look up and try not to laugh

Organization of Group: Have everyone pick a partner they dont know and stand together

Objective/Purpose of Game: To work with your partner to successfully go the ground and back
up without using their hands and just each other
Directions: Start with the first team from both sides and say go and then each partner stands
back to back and uses each other to successfully go down to the ground and back up without
using their hands and the first team to do so wins

Safety Concerns: Possibly hurt someone while pushing or going to the ground

Organization of Group: Have everyone stand in a circle
Number of Players Needed: At least 20
Objective/Purpose of Game: To try not to look anyone else in the eyes when you look up
Directions: Have the group stand in a circle and look down. The instructor says heads up and
everyone looks up and looks someone in the eyes and if the same person looks you in the eyes
you yell and youre both out then the instructor says heads down and everyone puts their heads
down and then repeats saying heads up and goes on until there is 2 people.

line with everyone else
Number of Players Needed: At least 10
Objective/Purpose of Game: To change something about your appearance and see if the other
person notices
Directions: Have everyone choose a partner and stand across from one other in two lines and
have them study each other then have one line stand around and change something about
themselves and then turn around and their partner has to try to figure out what they changed and
the side with the most correct wins.

pet peeve is and then tosses it to someone else and it keeps going until everyone goes

Objective/Purpose of Game: To create a letter yelled out with your bodies as a team
Directions: Have everyone get into teams and go to an area, then the instructor yells a letter and
the teams have to form the letter with their bodies and the first team to do so wins the round.
The first team to 3 wins, wins the game

Objective/Purpose of Game: To trust your partner to guide you through the minefield
Directions: Have everyone and their partner stand at the starting line and one person closes their
eyes while the other one talks and guides them through the minefield without hitting the mines
and if you do you lose
Variations: Switch the positions of the mines

Objective/Purpose of Game: To work together as a team to figure out the certain topics
Directions: Have everyone in their groups be given a paper with a list of something such as
football teams and have them put them in order from most to least amount of Super Bowl wins
and so on. The team with the most correct wins

Objective/Purpose of Game: To untangle everyone in you knot of arms
Directions: Have the two teams lock arms with someone else in their circle and lock their other
arm with another person and when the instructor says go you work as a team to untangle
yourselves before the other team.

Objective/Purpose of Game: To get the correct order of the topic before the other team
Directions: Have everyone in the group split into 2 teams and then the instructor has different
categories that are read aloud such as birthday or age or height and will read aloud one then each
team communicates to get in the correct order before the other team and sit down once they think
theyre in the correct order. The team to be correct and fastest wins
Variations: Different topics read, as well as playing this game without any talking

Benefits: A tough fun game that uses teamwork to win

Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group get into 2 groups and stand in a circle
Number of Players Needed: At least 12
Objective/Purpose of Game: To count all the way to 20 before the other team in your group
without 2 people saying the same number at the same time
Directions: Have everyone split into 2 teams and stand in a circle with their team. Then once
the instructor says go, the teams can begin with someone saying out loud the number 1 then
someone else says 2 and so on. But the key is that it has to be fast paced and if two people say
the same number at the same time the team has to start back over at 1.
Variations: You could do the alphabet or something with an order to go through.

Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group split up into 2 teams

Objective/Purpose of Game: To lift the designated person from the ground above the teams
head and back down to the ground before the other team
Directions: Have everyone split into 2 teams and have one person volunteer or be chosen to be
lifted. Then once the instructor says go, the teams must lift the person up and above their heads
and then back down safely to the ground faster than the other team.

Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group stand in a circle

Objective/Purpose of Game: To successfully throw each ball around the circle to the same
person until it reaches the beginning without it being dropped or hitting the ground
Directions: Have everyone in the group stand in a circle and the instructor starts with all the
balls and starts by saying the persons name their throwing it to and will continue to throw to
them the whole time. Then once everyone has caught and thrown the ball from and to the same
people the instructor should end with the ball before it hits the ground. The key is to
communicate and be aware of everything and use teamwork to do so as more balls are added

Directions: Have everyone in the group split up into 2 teams and then each team is given a bag
of 10 letters and the team must work together to come up with as many words as they can before
the designated time is up. The team with the most words at the end wins

Objective/Purpose of Game: To successfully throw all your teams balls in the air at once at
catch a different one then you threw without any of them hitting the ground
Directions: Have everyone in the group get into groups of five. Then each team is given balls
for each player on your team. Then each team tries to successfully throw all their balls up at
once and catch a different one then they threw without any of them hitting the ground and the
first team to do so wins.

Objective/Purpose of Game: To be murderer and wink to people without getting caught to
kill people
Directions: Have everyone in the group stand in a circle facing each other then everyone closes
their eyes and the instructor chooses a murderer and then everyone opens their eyes back up and
everyone looks around to see who is winking and guesses who they think it is. But if someone
guesses wrong you and the person you guessed sit down and are out. Whoever is the murderer
has to wink to kill people without getting caught but if they are the person who guessed wins

Organization of Group: Choose three people from the group to be ghosts and have everyone
else spread out throughout the area
Number of Players Needed: At least 15
Objective/Purpose of Game: To stand behind a person for 10 seconds without getting caught
and making everyone else become ghosts
Directions: Three people out the group are chosen to be ghosts and everyone else spreads out in
the open area with their head down and eyes closed and the ghosts walk around quietly trying to
get behind each person and stand for 10 seconds and if they do without getting caught the person
becomes a ghost. But if they do get caught the person who caught them becomes the ghost. Once
everyone is a ghost the game is over

volunteer to be the donkey and a seller
Number of Players Needed: At least 20
Objective/Purpose of Game: To sell your donkey to someone else by making them laugh
Directions: Have everyone in the group stand in a circle facing each other and have 2 people
volunteer to the donkey and a seller. The seller has to walk around with their donkey and sell it
to someone else by making the person laugh and the seller can make the donkey do different
things like jump up and down and other things to make the person laugh.

out without saying anything before the other team
Directions: Have everyone in the group split up into 2 teams and then have one person from
each team volunteer to be first to act out the activity. Then one the instructor says go each
person begins to act out the activity and the first team to correctly guess what it is gets a point.
Then a new person goes up and a new activity is chosen. The first team to the designated point
total wins

Objective/Purpose of Game: To correctly and successfully repeat what is said to them to the
next person the whole way around the circle to the original person
Directions: Have everyone in the group split up into 2 teams and stand in a circle. The
instructor then whispers something into one players ear and then that person tells the person next
to them what they think they heard and that continues so on the whole way around the circle.
Then the person at the ends tell the instructor what they heard and the team closest to the original
saying wins that round

Organization of Group: Have everyone stand in a single file line facing each other so both
sides are even
Number of Players Needed: At least 20
Objective/Purpose of Game: The successfully walk through the line of people facing you
without laughing or grinning
Directions: Have everyone in the group stand in two even strait lines facing each other and then
have one person volunteer to be first. The person must start at the beginning of the double sided
line and walk through everyone without laughing or grinning and the people in the line can say
things to make them laugh and ask them questions to make them laugh. If the make it through
successfully without laughing they win

Objective/Purpose of Game: The reach the end line or finish line before anyone else while not
losing balance and being disqualified
Directions: Have everyone except the instructor start and stand at the starting line and then the
instructor turn their back and says green light and everyone can move forward as fast as they
want but then the instructor says red light whenever they want and turn around and if your still
moving youre out. Once someone reaches the finish line without losing wins the game
Variations: Have different people say red light green light

whoever guesses correctly wins and the chooses something they spy

Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group stand in close nit circle and one volunteer
to be in the middle of everyone
Number of Players Needed: At least 10
Objective/Purpose of Game: To successfully pass the tennis ball around the circle behind the
circles back without the person in the middle guessing correctly who has it
Directions: Have everyone in the group stand in a circle with one volunteer standing in the
middle. The instructor then tells the person in the middle to close their eyes and hands the ball to
one person outside the circle and then the person in the middle can open their eyes and the group
begins to pass the ball behind their backs and tries to successfully make it whole way around the
circle. If the person in the middle correctly guesses who has the ball the person who has it has to
be in the middle next.

Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group sit in a circle

Objective/Purpose of Game: To run out of cards before anyone else
Directions: Have everyone in the group sit in a circle and the deck of UNO cards is shuffled and
seven cards are passed out to each player and then the games goes around the circle and is you
get down to one card you yell UNO or else if someone else does you have to draw a card and the
first person to run out of cards wins

Activity: Ultimate Frisbee
Age Group: 10 years and up
Activity Category: Active Game
Benefits: Increases heartbeat and blood flow, involves team work
Equipment: Frisbee, cones for end zones
Environment: Gym or open field
Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group split up into at least 2 teams
Number of Players Needed: At least 12
Objective/Purpose of Game: To score the most or designated points while throwing the Frisbee
to your teammates and scoring touchdowns
Directions: Have everyone in the group split up into at least 2 teams and have the field already
pre set-up and ready. Then have both teams play each other and the first team to score to
winning score wins. A couple rules are you cant run with the Frisbee and if the team drops the
Frisbee the other team gets the Frisbee where it was dropped.
Variations: Different teams and rules for scoring
Safety Concerns: Getting hit by the Frisbee or other players, sprained ankle or something could
also occur

Benefits: Fun active game that has all players on both team involved
Equipment: Kick Ball and bases
Environment: Gym or outside
Organization of Group: Have everyone split into 2 teams for the game
Number of Players Needed: At least 16
Objective/Purpose of Game: The score the most runs in the number of innings played or the
score needed to reach to win
Directions: Have everyone in the group split into 2 teams and have one team in the outfield to
start and the other team kick first. There is a roller and a 1

basemen in the outfield
and everyone else helps where ever. The roller rolls the ball to the kicker and they kick it and
each player kicks until 3 outs are recorded then they switch so the team in the outfield is now
kicking. The team who reaches the score to win first wins with both teams having the same
amount of chances to kick
Variations: Home run rules and a lot having so many runs a team can score per inning
Safety Concerns: Getting hit by the ball and also falling or hurting yourself while running
around the bases

Equipment: Volleyball and volleyball net
Environment: Gym or a volleyball court
Organization of Group: Have everyone in the group split up into two teams
Number of Players Needed: At least 12
Objective/Purpose of Game: To hit the ball over the net with volleys and have it hit the other
sides ground in play to score a point
Directions: Have everyone in the group split up into two teams and each side stand on one side
of the net. One team begins by serving over the net to the other team and the ball is hit back over
with a volley and so on until it is out of play or hits one sides ground. There is only 3 hits per
and no double hits. You usually have to win by 2 and first to 11 wins
Variations: Different teams and make each team have 3 hits before it goes over the net
Safety Concerns: Getting hit by a ball and running into each other going for the ball

Benefits: Increases blood flow and increases teamwork
Equipment: Wiffle ball, wiffle ball bat and bases
Environment: Gym or a baseball field
Organization of Group: Have everyone split into 2 teams
Number of Players Needed: At least 14
Objective/Purpose of Game: To score more runs than the other team in the designated innings
played
Directions: Have everyone split up into 2 teams and one team will hit first while the other team
is in the field. Each team then has a batting order to hit in and then the pitcher pitches the ball to
the hitter and runs around the bases if the other team doesnt catch it and its still in play. There
are 3 outs per inning and no strike outs. The team with the highest score at the end of the game
wins
Variations: Have a run rule per inning and have strike outs count
Safety Concerns: Getting hit by ball and also possibly getting hit by the bat

Directions: Have everyone in the group split up into 4 even teams and have 2 teams face each
other on one half court and the other teams face each other on the other half court. The team to
score the points designated to win wins and faces the winner of the other game and the loser play
each other as well. There is no make it take rule in this game

and forth to hit the other people to get them out and if you get hit youre out but if you catch
another players ball their out. The last team standing wins

Then one team throws off to the other team and the game starts. Each team has 4 down to score
a touchdown and if they are unable the other team gets the ball where the other team just had it.
Once a player catches the ball they can run until another pulls their flag off. The team to score
the most touchdowns wins
