SPIRITUAL AWAKENING
RESOURCE A
3 PRAYER PATTERNS FOR REVIVAL
The following prayers are designed to be prayed for
yourself frst, but also your family, your church, and
Christians across America. Feel free to pray through all
of them in one sitting or to just focus on one category
or point at a time. May the Lord help each of us to grow
in daily, fervent, faithful prayer for spiritual awakening!
O
neCry is about passionately pursuing God to
work with extraordinary powerbeginning in our own
lives and spreading to those around us.
Real revival is always birthed in and sustained by prayer.
Thats why fervent, ongoing prayer must be more than a
program or fad; it must become a lifestyle of seeking God.
As we begin to pray for spiritual awakening, its important
to remember that the scope of what we are asking for
involves looking in to our own lives (turning from sin),
looking up to God (asking for His manifest presence and
power), and looking out to those around us (uniting to
spread the hope of Christ-centered revival).
Lets believe God to do extraordinary things as we turn, pray, and unite
with one cry for spiritual awakening!
Looking In
I bow before You as God. You are in charge of everything. Please
give me the desire and power to obey You in every moment.
(Daniel 4:34-35; Philippians 2:13)
I reaffrm that my relationship with You is my frst priority. Teach
me to stay close to You like Jesus did, rejecting pride which
leads to destruction, and embracing humility which leads to
abundant life. (John 14:10-11; John 15:1-17; 1 Peter 5:5-6)
I submit to the authority of the Bible to guide me. Would You
reveal any thought, attitude, or action in my life that does not
conform to Scripture and to the image of Jesus? (2 Timothy 3:16;
James 1:19-27; Galatians 5:16-24)
I honestly confess my sins before You, naming them specif-
cally before You now and asking for forgiveness. I promise to
repent of whatever You show me to be sin, now or in the future.
(Joel 2:12-13; 1 John 1:9-10)
My desire is to be attentive and obedient to the promptings of
the Holy Spirit. Would You fll me with Your power and fullness?
(Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 3:16-19)
Lord, let revival begin in ME.
Looking Up
Please give me a healthy fear of You. Move me to care more
about Your opinion than I care about the opinions of others.
(Proverbs 1:7; 29:25)
Show me the depth of my need for You, and shatter my self-
suffciency. (John 15:5; 2 Corinthians 3:5)
Change my mindset so that prayer becomes my frst response
in every situation. May I seek You in all things. (Philippians 4:6-7;
Matthew 6:33)
Help me to put all my hope in You. I confess any misplaced
trusts, including dependence on military might, political
power, or economic strength. (Psalm 43:5; Psalm 20:7)
Increase my faith in Your ability to intervene supernaturally in
my life and in the world. Would You do miracles by Your Spirit
in, through, and around me? (Hebrews 11:6; Mark 9:23)
Cause the glory and fame of Jesus Christ to become my
greatest passion and pursuit. Please send revival to make
Jesus known throughout the earth and to fulfll Your promises
to exalt Your Son. (Ephesians 1:15-23; Colossians 1:15-20)
Lord, I seek YOUR face.
Looking Out
Help me to be a prayer warrior who is willing to persevere
in seeking You day after day, joining the spiritual battle
to see strongholds of the enemy torn down. (Luke 18:1-8;
2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
Would You send an outpouring of Your Spirit in revival?
Enlighten my heart to know the incomparable power that
raised Jesus from the dead and that works in me as I
believe You. (Luke 11:9-13; Ephesians 1:18-19)
Please increase the fervency and urgency of my prayers,
and use me to make prayer contagious to others. (Mark 1:35;
1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Allow me to infuence other believers in my circle of rela-
tionships to unite in prayer until our homes and churches
become houses of prayer. (Mark 11:17; 1 Timothy 2:1-3)
Give me faith to believe Your promise to move toward those
who move toward You in humility and prayer. Thank You
that You will forgive and restore all those who call on Your
name. (James 4:6-10; Jeremiah 18:7-10)
Lord, let Your KINGDOM come.
