The Bible has no
mention of Fall. The only
seasons that are
mentioned are Summer
and Winter. So in
Biblical Scholars opinion
Fall and Spring are the in
between times. I see
these times/months as
opportunities for
growth. The season of
fall has traditionally been
seen as a period of
changes leading to the
dark of winter.
I love the autumn
equinox. It is the only
day of year that day and
night are equal in length.
When I watch the leaves
flutter to the ground in
the fall I am reminded
of natures cycles being
mirrored in our lives.
Autumn is a perfect
time for letting go and
releasing things that
have burdened us. It is
a perfect time to
practice getting out of
the way and letting the
Spirit take charge of our
lives.

11
He has made every-
thing beautiful in its
time. He has also set
eternity in the human
heart; yet
[a]
no one can
fathom what God has
done from beginning to
end.
12
I know that there
is nothing better for
people than to be happy
and to do good while
they live.
13
That each of
them may eat and drink,
and find satisfaction in
all their toilthis is the
gift of God.
14
I know that
everything God does will
endure forever;
~Ecclesiastes 3: 11-14

God has given us the
gift of time / seasons.
We should all take
advantage of the time
we have and test in
Gods Spirit daily.

Blessings,

Children and the Children and the Children and the Children and the
Bible Bible Bible Bible

The following statements about
the Bible were written by
children and have not been
retouched or corrected (i.e., bad
spelling has been left in.)

Samson was a strong man
who let himself be led astray
by a Jezebel like Delilah.

Moses led the Hebrews to
the Red Sea, where they
made unleavened bread,
which is bread without any
ingredients.

The Egyptians were all
drowned in the dessert.
The first commandment was
when Eve told Adam to eat
the apple.

The seventh commandment
is "Thou shalt not admit
adultery".

The greatest miracle in the
Bible is when Joshua told his
son to stand still and he
obeyed him.

Jesus enunciated the Golden
Rule, which says do one to
others before they do one to
you.

St. Paul cavorted to Christian-
ity. He preached the holy
acrimony, which is another
name for marriage.

A Christian should have only
one spouse. This is called
monotony.

How to become a member.... How to become a member.... How to become a member.... How to become a member....
You are welcome to attend wor-
ship services, member or not. For
that matter, you can attend any
activity of the church and are
invited to do so. Becoming a
member is, in faith, saying you
want a deeper commitment to the
church. Our vows ask us to faith-
fully participate in the life of the
church with our prayers, our
presence, our gifts, our service
and our witness.
We hope you will be a part of
the ministry of the First United
Methodist Church. If you would
like to become a member, please
give us: Name(s), address, phone
number, e-mail address, anniver-
saries, birthdays and if you are
already a member of some other
church or not. If you are, we also
need the name of the church and,
if possible, the address. Please
give this to the pastor, or leave in
the church office.
