The Minneapolis Memorial Bridge and Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis will be lit pink in October to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month and support the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. On October 1st, the Memorial Bridge will be brightly lit pink from dusk to dawn to raise awareness about breast cancer. The following day, a noncompetitive 5K walk will be held at Lake Nokomis to raise funds for breast cancer research and support programs. The walk aims to provide hope for those facing breast cancer and help the American Cancer Society in its mission to defeat the disease.
