Drilling Is A Cutting Process That Uses A Drill Bit To Cut or Enlarge A Hole of Circular Cross

Drilling, grinding, and sanding are machining processes used to cut or smooth materials. Drilling uses a rotating drill bit to cut a circular hole by applying pressure and rotation. Grinding uses an abrasive grinding wheel to shape materials. Sanders smooth surfaces using sandpaper attached to an electrically or air-powered housing.

Drilling is a cutting process that uses a drill bit to cut or enlarge a hole of circular cross-section in solid

materials. The drill bit is a rotary cutting tool, often multipoint. The bit is pressed against the workpiece
and rotated at rates from hundreds to thousands of revolutions per minute. This forces the cutting edge
against the workpiece, cutting off chips (swarf) from the hole as it is drilled.
Grinding is an abrasive machining process that uses a grinding wheel as the cutting tool.
A wide variety of machines are used for grinding:
Hand-cranked knife-sharpening stones (grindstones)
Handheld power tools such as angle grinders and die grinders
Various kinds of expensive industrial machine tools called grinding machines
Bench grinders often found in residential garages and basements
A sander is a power tool used to smooth surfaces by abrasion with sandpaper. Sanders have a
means to attach the sandpaper and a mechanism to move it rapidly contained within a housing with
means to hand-hold it or fix it to a workbench. Woodworking sanders are usually powered
electrically, and those used in auto-body repair work by compressed air. There are many different
types of sanders for different purposes. Multi-purpose power tools and electric drills may have
sander attachments.
Building wiring is the electrical wiring and associated devices such as switches, meters and light
fittings used in buildings or other structures. Electrical wiring uses insulated conductors.
Wiring safety codes vary by country, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is
attempting to standardize wiring amongst member countries. Wires and cables are rated by the
circuit voltage, temperature, and environmental conditions (moisture, sunlight, oil, chemicals) in
which they can be used. Colour codes are used to distinguish line, neutral and ground (earth) wires
Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics,
by causing coalescence. This is often done by melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to
form a pool of molten material (the weld pool) that cools to become a strong joint,
with pressure sometimes used in conjunction with heat, or by itself, to produce the weld. This is in
contrast with soldering and brazing, which involve melting a lower-melting-point material between
the workpieces to form a bond between them, without melting the work pieces
Cutting is the separation of a physical object, into two or more portions, through the application of
an acutely directed force.
Implements commonly used for cutting are the knife and saw, or in medicine and science
the scalpel and microtome. However, any sufficiently sharp object is capable of cutting if it has
a hardness sufficiently larger than the object being cut, and if it is applied with sufficient force. Even
liquids can be used to cut things when applied with sufficient force (see water jet cutter).
Cutting is a compressive and shearing phenomenon, and occurs only when the
total stress generated by the cutting implement exceeds the ultimate strength of the material of the
object being cut. The simplest applicable equation is stress = force/area: The stress generated by a
cutting implement is directly proportional to the force with which it is applied, and inversely
proportional to the area of contact. Hence, the smaller the area (i.e., the sharper the cutting
implement), the less force is needed to cut something. It is generally seen that cutting edges are
thinner for cutting soft materials and thicker for harder materials. This progression is seen from
kitchen knife, to clever, to axe, and is a balance between the easy cutting action of a thin blade vs
strength and edge durability of a thicker blade.

Cutting disc - This disc enables you to achieve a
uniquely clean cut in the shortest possible time
while using a minimum of force. Precise to the
millimetre, vibration-free cutting, no thermal
bluing and no burring precluding the need for subsequent
machining. You can cut a thin sheet metal of the type used in
car bodies, tank farms and the tank construction sector, steel
cable, thin-walled profile sections and pipes made of stainless
steel and non-ferrous metals.

Drill bit - It is a removable tool for use in a drill to
make a hole in any material. The correct type of
drill bit must be used; it must be used correctly
and be sharpened as appropriate.

Nail - It is a tapered piece of metal, commonly
pointed and having a flattened head, driven with a
hammer, and used to hold pieces or parts
together, to hang things on, etc.

Pliers - They are small pincers in any of various
forms, often with serrated jaws, for gripping small
objects, bending wire, etc.

Tape measure - It is a flexible form of ruler. It
consists of a ribbon of cloth, plastic, fiber glass, or
metal strip with linear-measurement markings. It
is a common measuring tool. Its flexibility allows for a measure
of great length to be easily carried in pocket or toolkit and
permits one to measure around curves or corners.

Bolt - It is a screw that passes right through the
workpiece and is fastened by a nut on the other
side. This is a very common way of holding
together temporary and permanent constructions.

A screwdriver is a tool, manual or powered, for turning (driving or removing) screws. A typical
simple screwdriver has a handle and a shaft, and a tip that the user inserts into the screw head to
turn it. The shaft is usually made of tough steel to resist bending or twisting.
