SPECIAL SUPPLICATION for ASHURA
O He who accepted the repentance of Prophet Ādam on the day of Ashura!
O He who raised Prophet Idrīs to the Heavens on the day of Ashura! O He
who set the Ark of Prophet Nūh on Mount Jūdī on the day of Ashura! O He
who answered the prayer of Prophet Sāliḥ with a she-camel on the day of
Ashura! O He who protected Prophet Ibrāhīm from the fire on the day of
Ashura! O He who reunited Prophet Ya’qūb [with his son] on the day of
Ashura! O He who delivered Dhu-l Nūn (i.e. Prophet Yūnus) from his
burden on the day of Ashura! O He who heard the pleas of Prophets Mūsā
and Hārūn on the day of Ashura! O He who gave succour to Prophet
Muḥammad on the day of Ashura!
O Most-Merciful here and in the Hereafter, and Most-Compassionate in both
abodes! Bestow blessings upon our liege Muḥammad, his family, and all the
Prophets and Messengers. Fulfil our needs here and in the Hereafter; grant us
many years in Your righteous obedience, Your divine love, and Your innate
pleasure; cause us to live a life of purity and make us leave upon faith,
submission, and excellence. By Your universal Mercy alone, O Essence of
Mercy! O Allah, by the honour of al-Ḥasan his brother his mother , his
father his grandfather and his progeny — release me from that which
has befallen me [of worldly concerns and otherworldly needs].
