A Mechanical /Metallurgical Engineering degree.
API certification in API 510, 570 and 653.

ASNT level II in RT PT, UT and MT.
Minimum work experience of 15 years of plant equipment
inspection in a Petrochemical, Oil & Gas plant. Atleast 7
years of this experience shall be after the date of API
certification
Experience in NDT and welding is necessary
requirement.
Working experience & good knowledge in piping
fabrication, metallurgy and welding.
Good work experience & inspection knowledge of
Columns, exchangers, vessels, tanks etc.
Shall be able to read, understand and draw sketches/
drawings, engineering drawings, isometrics, PIDs to show
inspection findings and also familiar with the use of
applicable codes and standards, e.g. API, ASTM, ASNT,
ASME, NACE AWS etc.
Working experience in Shutdown and turnaround will be
preferred.
Typical plant experience will be an added advantage.
Shall be physically fit to carry out the required inspection.
Work Experience
Review previous inspection history, job packs, drawings,
specifications, inspection plans and repair plans prior to
inspection of equipment.
Carry out inspection of equipment in accordance with the
specified plans and RLOC inspection procedures.
Assess equipment condition and report with repair
recommendation based on code and RLOC procedural
requirements.
Coordinate with the NDT coordinator and NDT technicians to
get the NDT done.
Coordinate with coating inspector, coating contractor to get the
coating done as per plan and recommendation.
Coordinate with refractory inspector and refractory contractor
to get the refractory job done as per plan and
recommendations.
Review the NDT reports and findings and field verify as
necessary.
Witness and certify the equipment pressure test, repairs and
certify the equipment for its indented operation.
Submit detailed inspection and repair reports.
Shall be capable of making decisions on repairs as per code
requirements and handle inspectors working under him and able
to guide them during the inspection activities.
