Graphic Novel:
Words and Pictures

If you are constantly wondering

how things work, or love to
do experiments, then this science
based enrichment class is a
good fit for you. There will be lots
of experiments using the
things around you. You will be an
expert scientist at the end of
the session!

Comics, cartoons, and graphic

novels are a fun way to combine
words and pictures. Students will
get to create their own cartoon
characters, learn to draw them in
a story sequence, and will
complete their own book!

What does REACH! Stand for?

Students at the Elementary School will ride the bus to

the Academy building. There, at the flag pole, students
will gather and be met by a staff member. Snack is
held in cafeteria. Recess is held outdoors or in the
gymnasium. The rest of the program, as well as dismissal, will be held in the Library (Minden Hall) or nearby
classrooms. Parents will be notified of different pickup locations if an activity requires us to leave Minden
Hall. Parents must sign out children.

that volunteers, including other parents, as well as other members of the community assist in operating these trips and programs.
In case of illness or accident, I request that After School REACH! contact me. If I cannot be reached or the emergency contact person cannot be reached at the phone numbers I have provided, I authorize and direct After School REACH! personnel to seek emergency medical care or take other action they believe is necessary under the circumstances to protect the best interest of my child/ward. If my child/ward is taken for emergency medical treatment, I hereby authorize the attending physician to administer
the emergency treatment he/she believes is appropriate, and I agree to pay any resulting expense.
