Math Vocabulary For SAT Test

Integers are whole numbers that do not include fractions or decimals. Factors are numbers that multiply to get another number, while multiples are numbers that divide to get another number. Prime numbers only have two factors - themselves and 1. The remainder is what is left over from division. Even numbers have a remainder of 0 when divided by 2, while odds have a remainder of 1. Other key terms include the numerator and denominator of a fraction, as well as the average, median, mode, quotient, consecutive numbers, digits, distinct numbers, absolute value, and probability.
