Singapore's top bowler Remy Ong won the Bahrain International Open, defeating Kuwait's Mohammed Kamel in the final. It was Ong's first title in nearly nine months. He averaged 247 pinfalls in qualifying and scored 279 in the final. Ong said competing internationally has made him a better bowler by exposing him to tougher competition alone without his teammates. The win validates his decision to compete more outside of Asia.
