NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases


A Journal of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Related Disciplines
The Bulletin of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases is
always interested in receiving manuscripts on appropriate
topics for possible publication. Articles may contain clinical
or basic scientific information related to orthopaedic surgery,
musculoskeletal, rheumatological, or neurological diseases.
Case reports are also accepted.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance to the AMA style
guidelines. Each manuscript submission must include a title page
citing the Title of the article, names and academic affiliations
of all authors, and the address, telephone number, facsimile
number, and e-mail address of the corresponding author.
The following presentation style should be observed in
submitting manuscripts: Abstract, Materials and Methods,
Case Histories (if applicable), Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Tables, and Figure Legends.
Articles should be typed, double-spaced on 8 x 11 paper
with one inch margins. One printed copy of the manuscript
should be submitted along with a copy of the word processor
file on a CD.
Photographs and Illustrations
Photographs and illustrations should be submitted as 5 x 7
prints, with the manuscript title, figure number, and an arrow indicating the top of the illustrations written on back
in soft pencil. Digital images may also be submitted on CD
and should be high resolution images in the jpeg, tiff, or eps
graphic file formats (graphs created in Excel are also acceptable). Laser or inkjet prints of all images should be attached
to each copy of the manuscript.
References
References should be listed in numerical order according to
the order of their citation in the text of the article; references
should not be presented alphabetically. References should
be formatted in the following manner.
Journal Article
The PubMed journal citation format should be followed:
Author(s) name(s), without punctuation after initials (for
citations with multiple authorship, the first three authors
should be provided with et al used)
Article title
Journal name (as abbreviated in PubMed)
Year and month of publication
Volume number
Issue number
Inclusive page numbers of the article

The Bulletin is a refereed journal. All articles are reviewed
by independent peer reviewers before an editorial decision
