Acoustic Levitation of Stones

Tibetan monks were able to levitate large stone blocks using a technique involving acoustic levitation with drums and trumpets. A Swedish engineer witnessed and filmed a demonstration in Tibet in the 1930s where monks arranged 19 musical instruments in an arc and produced intense sound waves that caused a stone block to lift off the ground and transport through the air to a cliff top platform 250 meters away. The films were immediately classified by the English scientific society the engineer worked for. Measurements of the setup correspond to principles of acoustic levitation and anti-gravity effects discovered in other research.
