Oil Plus 2C

eco-buildingproducts.com

PROTECTS AND COLORS YOUR WOOD IN ONE LAYER

DESCRIPTION:

Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is a 2-component oil

finishing system, consisting of Monocoat Oil Plus (A)
and Accelerator (B) that is very suitable for indoor
applications which require quick curing. Monocoat
Oil Plus 2C is applied in one layer and cures In 5 days.
This product is also extremely suitable for industrial
applications, both with oxidative and UV processes.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1) Sand the planks. Screen with 80 or 100 grit materials.

When renovating old oors, the previous finishes
should be removed completely.
2) Vacuum the oor.
3) Clean the oor with Monocoat Raw Wood Cleaner
and leave to dry. We recommend you to use the
Raw Wood Cleaner sparingly to decrease the
drying time.
4) The system is used in a 3:1 mixture. Pour half of the
Oil Plus (A) into a large bucket. Add the Accelerator
(B) to the remaining half of the oil in the can. Close
the lid and shake very well. Add the pre-mixed
quantity to the Oil Plus in the bucket. Stir until you
get a homogeneous mass. Apply the Oil Plus
with a cotton cloth, a brush or a buffer and white pad.
The excess oil needs to be removed after 5 minutes,
so only treat a 60 s.f. or smaller area.
5) After spreading the oil, the excess then needs to be
removed, after 5 minutes, until it practically feels dry.
Remove the excess oil manually with a cotton cloth or
with a buffer supplied with a cotton cloth under a white
pad. Try and work in the direction of the wood (i.e. the
length of the planks). If you walk on the treated areas
while removing the excess, be sure to polish away the
footprints.
6) The oor can be walked on after 24-36 hours and after
36 hours furniture can be moved in place. During the
rst week the oor should be maintained with a dust
mop or vacuum cleaner. After this week, the oor
should be maintained with water and Monocoat Soap.
After mixing Oil Plus 2C can be used for a maximum of
6 hours (depending on the temperature and air humidity).
