The Count of Monte Cristo Reflection Paper

The film is based on a novel written by Alexandre Dumas. It is a tale during the Napoleonic Rule
about a man named Edmond Dantes who falsely accussed of treason and was imprisoned on an island
named Chateau dIf for about 13 years. Lets discuss the movie very shortly before we get on to my
reflection.
Edmond Dantes was a normal guy and was betrayed and accussed by his bestfriend, Ferninand. Fernand
did that on purpose to steal Edmonds girlfriend for himself. Edmond was imprisoned in Chateau dIf
and tortured for 13 years. There he met a fellow prisoner (Abbe) who taught him how to fight and how
to read and told Edmond about the buried treasure on an island. Together they dug a tunnel to escape,
but Abbes fate was very unfortunate, he died, and Edmond was the lucky one to Escape. He was
successful on getting the treasure with te help of a pirate which he spared his life, and together they
used their wealth to plot a revenge to those who failed Edmond.
Base on the movie, Edmond met a very awful fate, but then he managed to flip the table and
became the one on top at the end. The movie shows how people can be so cruel when greed comes into
teir system. One can become so powerful when their greed is unimaginably strong, and one can become
a victim.
