Science Corridor: Location Dangers/Hazards Who Injury Possible Prevention/Solution

This risk assessment identifies potential hazards for a student taking photographs in various locations around a school. In the science corridor, students may be carrying dangerous equipment, posing a risk of minor to major injuries. To prevent issues, the student will inform teachers of any experiments before photographing near classrooms. In crowded areas like the media corridor and refectory gardens, bags left in walkways could cause sprains or breaks from tripping. The student will remove bags from areas and push them to the side when photographing. Near roads and pavements outside, the student risks injury from cars, bikes or falls and will stay on pavements, watch where walking, and not disturb local residents while collecting photos.

Prevention/Solution
Time of day I will try my best to take pictures
in class period however will need to be quiet so
I do not disturb classes.
I will make sure I keep bags and coats in my
media classroom so that if any teachers or
students walk through at this time there is no
hazard possible. I will also need to push bags
to the very side if a room is not possible for my
own sake in case I am not looking when taking
the images.

Science If any classes round where taking the

pictures are doing an experiment then it might
be useful to tell the teacher beforehand we are
using a camera near their class, this will
prevent the camera from being ruined as will
also prevent my group from becoming injured.

before the time of my booking of the camera to

view of the lens but also around the location so
I prevent any damage to students or teachers.

will also need to make sure that I am always

walking and am nearly always only on the
pavement, this will prevent me from colliding
with any motor vehicles.

Pavements - I will need to make sure that I

watch where Im going when I am taking
photos as this is something that can district
me, this could cause me to slip onto the road
or pavement. By being very mindful about
where and what I am doing when taking and
moving to take photographs this will prevent
me from hazard.
I will also need to be mindful of the people that
live in the houses and not trespass or disturb
to collect photographs.
