5 Mayfair is an area in London, surrounded by Oxford
Street, Piccadilly, Green Park and Regent Street.
It became famous because the British version of
Monopoly the board game included it as one of
the most exclusive and expensive areas of London and
the world. It is both a commercial and residential area
and has exclusive and expensive hotels, restaurants,
shops, corporate headquarters, real estate offices and
private residences. It gets its name from the Fair, that
was held there in May in the seventeenth century.

something like this when he asked Simon about
Linnets age.

Relevant details; the details in the conversations
that will be relevant to solving the crimes are Jackies
assertion that Simon loves her and Tims negative
attitude to Poirot; Mr Fergusons attitude towards
people who do not work, which will make him a
suspect for Race. Other important details that Poirot
overhears: Mr Penningtons desire that Linnet signs
without reading will make him a suspect as he was
using her money for himself; Mr Fanthorps comment
on not signing anything one has not read will make
him a suspect because of his being somehow involved
in Linnets business affairs.
