Background GPS
With iOS 4, Apple unveiled firmware changes that enable apps to maintain a GPS connection even with the
iPhone locked or when outside of the app. This means
that you can manually lock your iPhone to conserve
battery life between shots and still retain a GPS connection when you unlock your phone.
To lock your device press the button on the upper right
edge of your iPhone.
